Mirrors (Self-Reflection)

I sat alone and there was Emptiness. Then, there was Everything…

The mind’s suppression

Of the Soul’s trauma is…

Blind depression

On a journey to find

The one I left behind

Was on a mission to find love and a gold mine

Only to become broken as the world took my token

Left me forsaken

Didn’t completely break in

Instead taught me to hold mine

So that what pumps through my veins is royal blood combined

With a godly spirit and a gold mind

No loss in a lesson

And no sense in tossin’ a blessin’

You gotta hold what the Universe’s university gave you

To return You to your Essence

While falsehoods in a vain world lead you astray

Sometimes you must simply let go of things not yours

Just let them fly away

Drop the dead weight holding toxic vapors

So that Your Wings do not decay

Sometimes you Must Meditate to reach Internal Divinity

Sometimes you must simply Pray

Prepare your mind for the turbulence that lie ahead

Knowing that the Inner Spirit must be nourished

For man cannot simply live only by bread

Take a deep breath and steel yourself just to look in the Mirror

And take honest inventory of the reflection: Your Truest Picture
