Take Courage

I often talk about this spiritual journey that I am on. I believe we are all on such a journey – the personal experiences and awareness of the journey differs from person to person. Yet, we are on this journey.

This journey is met with pain, grief, joy, and plenty of obstacles. Life isn’t perfect for most of us. Even for the forward-thinking progressives, the journey is also met with stagnation. The stagnation often comes from the turmoil of our own personal storms and demons. Sometimes, amidst the storm, we get lost, we lose focus, fall off-track.

For that, I just wanted to reach out with a short message to remind you how important you are.

Remember this: You have value – not because of something you possess materially or because of any achievement this world has bestowed upon you. You have value because of the wonder and beauty that it took to create you.

Do not let anger, resentment, or obstacles deter you from seeing that value, your self-worth. True self-worth allows you to see that you are a perfect creation, created in the image of all that it took to create this universe. Being so, there is no predestination. You are in control of your destiny. This also means you are responsible for your fate as you are a key stakeholder in your set of circumstances.

You must not only be accountable for your beauty, you must also be accountable for your flaws. It is only then, when we hold ourselves fully accountable, that we can shape our destiny and activate the God within. Because all that you seek is already within you. You are already the masterpiece waiting to be unveiled.

Walk your path. It is a beautiful and frightening journey. An easy path is not promised. Turbulence is a guarantee. You will be required to take action to reach your destination. You will need to make hard decisions often when a predictable outcome is uncertain. And that is why courage is required to walk your path.

Courage is defined as the ability to do something that frightens one. Courage is also defined as strength in the face of pain or grief. Whatever your path – whatever your journey is, remember to pack light, but do not forget to take courage.
